That moment.

There he is, standing right across the the huge floor of the over crowded mall. It is a typical Saturday afternoon. The crowd comprises of college students, families, but mostly the teenagers who have just freed themselves from the depressing board exams. Such enthusiasm, such happiness, such carefreeness in the air. It feels so good. But you can't stay put. You are nervous out of over happiness. You feel like your head is going to burst like an overblown balloon any minute, because of the mixed feelings. Butterflies enjoying the rollercoaster ride in your stomach. Head swinging like a 4 year old on a Barbie song. Body shivering. It is the moment you have waited for, for the past 7 months. How many times you had rehearsed this scenario in your mind, but it all seems waste now. Cause you can remember nothing now. You gently push the curly strand of your hair behind the ears with shivering finger and glance over the crowd searching for him, as you come down the 1st floor through the escalator. Your eyes looking for him like a desperate predator searching for his pray.  You can not find him because of the crowd, until you reach the bottom. You notice someone throwing an over spread smile at you from a meter away on your right. You know its him. You turn to that direction to see him admire you like you are the most precious of his possessions. And you want to believe that its true. You cannot stop blushing. Your eyes squeezed like the tomatoes on the 'Tomatina Fest', because of your smile. You can't stop looking at each other. Just staring at each other, until someone walks through the gap between you two. You throw your hands for a hug and he poses them for a hand shake. You are both shy and embarrassed. Then you put your hand forward for a shake and he expects a hug. And then you both settle for a handshake witnessing a small gag. As soon as his hand touches yours, you can feel the electric touch. And your body behaves as if it just survived a deadly shock. By the time you try to get over that hand shake, he leans forward and whispers in your ear "Want to get out of here?". "Yes, please" , you reply with a expression of relief.

  1. Where would one go when one is already in a mall? Another mall perhaps?
