Book(s) Review - February.

Hello friends !

My final exams got over yesterday and I am happy. This months book review is a bit absurd.

1) The catcher in the rye - J.D Salinger.

This is a classic. And I had a hard time reading it. I took 15 days to complete this ! No, it is not lengthy or anything. It is just too annoyingly descriptive. I think I wasn't an eligible reader. Maybe Sir Salinger wanted to convey something deep and important when describing. So I am not going to review or rate this book. Sorry !

2) Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone

                       AND

3) Harry Potter and the Chambers Secrets.

I haven't read the Harry Potter series. And I know I am too late. But as they say 'better late than never.' So I completely loved the first two books. I enjoyed reading them. And out of respect and obviousness I am not going to review the serious. But here's my favourite quote from the first book -

" To the well and organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."

4) Fangirl - Rainbow Rowell. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well I couldn't wait to read this, so I put aside Harry Potter for a while. I just completed it and I absolutely love it. I couldn't help but see through the eyes of the main character Cath and behave like her. I am soo in love with Levi though !

Good old school days.

As I turned around to have a look at my classroom for the very last time, all the memories flashed back in front if my eyes, like they show in the movies.

I remember joining the school when I was really young, hardly a five year old. I remember my mother telling me that the schools my 'second home'. I remember crying to go back home on the first day. And now, I am crying because I don't want to leave the school.

Fourteen years. Not a short span of life. I can now only take in as much of it as possible, because tomorrow this will only be a memory. I will have said to pass the 'good old school days'. No more lengthy Monday morning assemblies. No more food fights. No No more doodling on the eons old desks. No more master pieces on the last page of notebooks. No more "give me a blue pen of any colour" moments. No more pen hunting. No more completing notes, twice as long as Mahabharata, a night before submission. No more tour anticipations. No more giving the substitutes hard time. No more mocking school teachers. No more......school days. How long have I waited for this day. The last day of school. How excited I was for the "cool" college life. But today, I cannot get over the fact that I won't sit on these minuscule benches ever again. How much I loathe this day.

No I don't want to leave today. I don't want to go college. I don't want a "cool" college life. I only want to stay and never move on. I love school and I am going to miss this.

P.S I would like to dedicate this to my dear lovely seniors and every Indian 12th grader. Life goes on my friend. It didn't wait for you, it won't wait for me. I wish all of you a great life ahead and more adventures, memories and fun. :)
