Music - Elixir (Take two).

Do you believe in magic?
I do. When I say ‘I do’ I don’t mean the David Copperfield or Criss Angel sorts or for that matter, Son Pari (for those early 20’s Indian kids 😉). The right music is magic. It’s funny how minutes long swaddles of rhythm, words and instruments can carry even a 109 kilo couch potato away. Songs are like hyperlinks to those stale memories squashed down your mind. It’s crazy how every song has a story or link to an old memory. Or if not a past incident they surely permit us to believe in fantasies. Be it a toddler, a pet animal or an old being, music has the power to touch everyone’s heart and mess their brain! If a song can make you sad, it surely can make you happy as well. They can distress you and soothe you. Motivate and demotivate you. It’s enthralling to see how these simple swaddles can do so much to a complex being.
Tonight, for the billionth time I let a song get to me. I don’t know why I let this happen! I guess I can never overpower the magic of a beautiful song. This time ‘ Kodaline’ was responsible for the dejected heart. By the way, if you haven’t heard a ‘Kodaline’ piece STOP READING THIS AND YOUTUBE THEM. NOW! Or just click here – iamadvancinginthesegeekymidgets.
As I was saying, I let Kodaline give me a heartache, which ultimately led me to this wretched page. And no they did not sponsor this :P. Music has had an important role in my life. Music is something I can rely on when I am feeling low or if I want someone to understand me. I mean there is a song for anything and everything. And sometime the lyrics of certain songs are just soo apt to your situation, it’s like the song was written for you. I love those moments, it somehow makes me feel important and understood. If I don’t stop now I think I’ll keep on jabbering about it.
Music is my life. It is my religion :)!
Also, do check out part one Music - Elixir ( Take one) , though it might be pathetic, as it was written ages ago.

Book Review - August.

I am so happy with this months wrap-up ! I have not read a lot of books, but a lot of pages. So let's get started. ( Almost 3000) :D!

1) Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire - J. K Rowling.
                         And
2) Harry Potter And The Order of Phoenix - J. K Rowling.

3) Shatter me ( Tahereh Mafi.) ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the first book of the Shatter me trilogy. And the first dystopian series I have read. The book is great, but I found it inclined towards romance more than action. Not the best start for the series. I like how the writing style of this book is different. People may either love it or find it annoying. I found it bearable, probably because I was listening to it on audiobook half the time :P.

4) Unravel me ( Tahereh Mafi) ⭐️⭐️⭐️  and a half.
Now now. This book was better than the first one and had more to the story than plane romance. I liked the twists and turns. But I hated how confused the narrator Juliette was under a lot of circumstances.

5) Ignite me ( Tahereh Mafi) ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I loved this far more than its prequels! I think it has a great ending. And I got used to the cheesiness by the third book. I would recommend this series to someone is looking for romance-action. But yeah kudos to Tahereh Mafi for introducing me to the dystopian world.

P.S I just completed Divergent :) review next month, as it is already the first weekend of this month.
