Movie Review - PK !

Note: If you want to prevent yourself from getting a headache please read the follow up.

Movie review :-

PK

PK dekhni ho toh, peekay jaane.

(Trans. If you want to watch PK, make sure you are drunk enough. )

Expectations lead to disappointment. And great expectations lead to a massive headache.

Coming from Raj Kumar Hirani, it was a put off. I mean I had lost hope in Aamir khan ever since I watched Talaash and Dhoom 3 ! So it wasn't as disappointing to watch him do PK. Anyways, moving forward with the story. The story is highly fictitious. It's about an alien wanting to go back home to his- "gola", for those who haven't watched it, that's how he refers to "planets". So he comes to our "gola" (earth) for a research, from his "gola" (name not mentioned). And he is completely nude, because apparently people in his "gola" don't wear clothes and they don't talk (because they can hold hands and know what's in somebody's mind). So he is nude and has a remote which would help him go back, in a necklace form. And in order to keep the story going, he loses it. Some Indian stole it(expected). And then he starts his journey to find that remote. Movie gets funny here. All jokes and incidents of the alien trying to get used to our lifestyle. And then he meets this girl (Anushka) , who decides to help him find his remote and he falls in love with her, but doesn't express (expected). And he finds the remote and goes back to his "gola".

Now, the movie's storyline is basically stupid. It is quite hilarious in the beginning. But it fades away with time. The movie is bearable till the interval. And after, don't even ask me about it. I had to drink two cups of coffee to stay awake! The ending is like most of the movies, the girl (Anushka) happens to be narrating the whole story to the audience. She apparently wrote a book on PK. A year later PK returns with alot of aliens from his "gola". Ranbir Kapoor makes his entry and winds up the movie. PK has a lot of parts from other hit movies like 'Chillar Party" and "Oh my God". It is like Raj Kumar Hirani has tried too hard to  convey a social message. (Don't believe in religions).

The songs are average and not that great or anything like Emraan Hashmi's songs. The lyrics are meaningful and relatable to the situation, unlike other songs like Raghu Pati Raghav and all that crap.  However I am not saying that the movie is a total suckerbag. It is better than quite alot of movies, say Xpose, Housefull 3, Lootera, though I haven't watched any of these. Its just that I had expected a lot from PK and it turned out to be dumb. Sigh.

P.S  Alot of people literally loved the movie and happen to have laughed their asses out. And this review is highly critical and truly mine. So its our choice if you want to go and watch the movie or rather not. If you are an Aamir Khan fan, this review would probably not have affected your opinion and will for watching PK.

Anyways I just realized that this is one really lengthy review. Though I have skipped alot of it, cause it was boring. And you should know that I have an exam tomorrow. So how extremely annoyed I am right now, after have wasted 3 and a half hours on that piece of shit. -_-

This is my first attempt at movie reviews, so please leave a comment below if you want me to do more. Thank you :)

That day.

I always knew that this day would come sooner or later. It would. And I dreaded it. I tried to live in the moment and not think about it as much. But I couldn't. I was scared of losing him. I couldn't stop thinking of what would happen on the day he calls it off. I knew he was not my forever from the very beginning. Even then I couldn't help but fall for him and give him my everything. And when that happened I tried not to think of that day and live in a healthy relationship. I failed miserably. My fear of losing him had apparently vitiated the whole thing. And when that day came, I was frozen. I couldn't react. Even after preparing myself for 'that day' I couldn't take it in. I was to be blamed. He had left me for another girl and proved to be a typical jerk. Which I knew he was, all the way along. How could I be so stupid? How?! And now I can do nothing but move on and learn from my mistake. I am glad to have learned a lesson though.

Certain events are an important ingredient in the recipe of life. As stated by Murphy's law "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." And in undefinable relationships you can never prevent yourself from getting hurt, because if you do so you will cause a hindrance in the process of learning from your mistakes.

Love.

Love is not a boomerang. As you give it, don't expect it to come back, cause it might not. So stop fantasizing about it and move on. If you really love someone, you let them go.
