After death.

Early morning thoughts !

Talking about "Equality".

In this country where the majority of people are updated with the worldwide happenings. Where education and sanitation has become a basic amenity. Where we have all stood united and fought for 'Damini' and her rights. And during this century, where we have succeeded in the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) at the very first attempt. Where our fellow countrymen Mr.Kailash Satyarthi has jotted down his name in the golden pages of history by receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. Where we are ahead in almost every field. But what ticks me off is that even after such achievements and modernization, we are not in favour of the LGBT ( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender).
Why can not we stand the fact that there are people who tend to fall in love with the people of the same gender. That there are people who don't find their opposite sexes as attractive as the same sex. Why don't we treat them as normal people? Why are they considered as criminals? Why are they made fun of? The most unendurable part is that there are people who give their homosexual kids 'shock treatments', which they think can convert them into heterosexuals. I mean what the hell. They are born that way. They are not starfishes who can change their gender. Come on. It is not a disease !
But what provoked me to write this article was that Mr. Aamir Khan was accused of promoting homosexuality and 'violating' the Supreme Courts order on homosexuality. I am ashamed to be a part of a country where there are advocates like Mandeep Kaur, who not only refuse to accept LGBT, but also discourages citizens to support LGBT. I don't think Sir Aamir Khan owes any apology for his actions.
India is a democratic country where every citizen is granted the freedom of speech. The   government of India is made 'BY THE PEOPLE, for the people, and from the people.'  We have complete rights to oppose what we feel is not right and acceptable.
Our future generation deserves a better nation, where proper justification is given to the Preamble of the Indian Constitution which 'solemnly resolves' to 'secure to all its citizens' EQUALITY.

At times..

There comes a time in life where you just lie still on your bed with your hair messed up and do nothing at all. You just lay there still like a statue and gaze at the little light which successfully escaped the curtains and entered the room. A little light and complete darkness. If you have a positive attitude you tend to look at the brighter part of the room and think of all the good times you have had. However if you are not happy at that very moment, you stare at infinity in the darkness and think of the situation you are in right then and make yourself sad. You just want to rewind time and go back to when everything was perfect. When life was a bed filled with roses. When you did not know the meaning of being sad. You start thinking of all the what if's. You just can't stop doing nothing. You are frozen. Can't even move an inch. You don't know what to do. You don't know to which direction your life is going. Not even music can help you at that moment. All you can do then is fight yourself. Take a deep breath and stop over thinking. Pick yourself up from the bed and sculpt your hair in a neat coiffure. Draw the curtains open. Let the light fill the room. Look at the brighter side of your life. And be happy.
